Commodities that contributed sizeable deflation during the month of April 2016 include rice, gasoline, eggs, red peppers, solar, bloating, garlic, cement, squid, potato.
Based on the calculation of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) in April 2016, Metro City deflation caused by the decline in the index in the transportation, communications and financial services with deflation of 2.09 percent; food group index declined by 1.70 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel dropped 0.31 percent and 0.09 percent deflation health.
